First United Methodist Church is the historical downtown church in Myrtle Beach. With roots reaching back to 1915, this church is one of the largest and most active United Methodist congregations in South Carolina. Ever growing and changing, First Church is venturing forth in new ways of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ both here and overseas. A church for all kinds of people.

First Church offers a comprehensive Christian Education program, music programs for all ages, as well as traditional and contemporary worship services. All this takes place in a relaxed "beach" atmosphere where casual dress is always welcome.

First United Methodist church makes a strong effort to reach the people of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand with the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.

We sponsor a television broadcast every Sunday morning on WBTW Channel 13 at 8:30am. This broadcast includes a recording of highlights from the previous week's 11:00am worship service.

In addition to the broadcast, we offer an intercessory prayer line, staffed by volunteers for thirty minutes after each program. Prayer Line calls are toll-free from anywhere is the WBTW viewing area, which covers most of Horry, Georgetown, Florence, Darlington and Marion Counties.
